Tonia's story...
In 2004, we bought this 146 acre farm and have achieved many of our goals and dreams here. My husband utilizes nearly 100 acres for the production of mixed grass and alfalfa hay that we sell throughout the year. I started my nursery business in 2005, doing mainly vegetable plants, herbs, geranium cuttings from plants that my grandma had given me, and a few annual bedding plants. Each year I've tried to add a few new varieties and last year I started offering some perennials. There are 2 greenhouses that are used for growing vegetable and ornamental plants and another that is used for vegetable and fruit production, plus an orchard of about 60 dwarf fruit trees (apricots, apples, and peaches just to name a few) and also blackberries. After the spring plant sales have slowed, I begin to focus more on the vegetable garden and canning. Last year, we achieved one of our biggest dreams and built a home right here on our farm! We are constantly evolving and hopefully improving-- and just trying to appreciate the journey instead of focusing on the destination.

Christa is a beloved long-time vendor at the market, and she is especially popular with the canine visitors, who know she keeps treats ready for them!

Christa offers a variety of houseplants and bedding plants, plus a delicious selection of jams and jellies.  This year, she has expanded her garden to offer more produce, herbs, and even garlic!  She also has adorable knitted hats for babies.

Hi friends!  I've managed the market since 2011, and I'm excited to help you get to know our vendors through this blog.  I like to say that the people are what make our market so special, and I'm sure you'll agree.  We hope to see you at the market soon!
